What is wellness?
Wellness is not just the absence of disease. It is not just being physically fit or emotionally mature. It is an ever-evolving state of balance and personal authenticity – becoming who you really are in body, mind and spirit. Developing healthy ways to deal with emotions and social situations is just as important as cultivating the habit of eating well and having regular exercise. Loving and valuing oneself is the key to loving and valuing others.
How do I get there?
First, acknowledge that you have a body, mind and spirit and that finding balance is one of your primary goals. Secondly, recognize that body, mind and spirit all need to be fed in a healthy way in order to grow in a healthy way. Build a plan of action into every day to nurture and nourish each of these important components that make you who you are.
Sometimes, one component is neglected. Physical fitness and healthy eating habits nurture the body and help with overall wellbeing but the mind and spirit also need to be nurtured. What are you feeding your mind? How are you feeding your spirit?
My workshops are designed to promote wellness in all areas of your life. Addressing the needs of your mind and spirit are just as important as looking after the needs of your physical body when it comes to creating the authentic YOU and finding the balance that sustains your wellbeing. True joy comes from finding your authentic self. I would love to help you do that.
“I participated in one of Eve Allen’s writing courses several years ago. It was a transformational time as we gathered with likeminded writers who wanted to develop their skills. All of us were unpublished writers but we carried a deep desire to use our words to bring healing to our communities and the world beyond. We sat around the table soaking in her teaching.
“Her course opened the door for me to be able to pursue a writing career. I have gone on to write over 1,000 songs, 10 books, and two short stories that have been published in the best-selling Canadian Anthology, Hot Apple Cider Series.
“Eve Allen’s classes were a springboard on my road of becoming a published author. Her expertise and knowledge propelled and equipped me to believe that I could reach higher and dream bigger. I highly recommend Eve Allen as an instructor and educator.”
