Eve Mills Allen won Third Place in the PWAC Prize for Narrative Nonfiction in the 2019 WFNB Writing Competition (under the name Eve Nash).
Adjudicator Lorri Neilsen Glenn wrote these words about the submission: “More than a Name” is a poignant story of belonging. When lives and communities are fractured and drifting, a woman finds the gift of acceptance.
Eve received her award at the WFNB Awards Ceremony on May 24, 2019 at the Université de Moncton. The story will be published in an American anthology Re-Creating Our Common Chord.
